Thank-you for visiting my fundraising page. To mark my 30th year (yes, i'm that old!), I took part in Bike4Life (27th Dec 2008-2nd Jan 2009) to raise money for FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance. This challenge really pushed me to the limits to reach my minimum target, prepare mentally and physically for the event (I'd never done anything like this before!) and actually cycle 550km (60miles/day) from Mumbai to Goa in 6 days! 
With your generous help and support and my determination, together, we'll be helping a charity that does such amazing work for humanity.
FOCUS is an international emergency response agency that provides relief and support services during, and following, natural and man-made disasters often affecting vulnerable communities particularly in developing countries. During atrocities like the Tsunami, they provide aid & shelter for such communities. They continue to provide support once other agencies have left, helping these communities re-establish themselves. They also play an active role in anticipating disaster - visiting villages in remote areas to study the history of disasters that have occurred in those areas, helping these communities set up emergency strategies and emergency teams within the village to prepare for future disasters, thus limiting the number of lives being lost.
