So, how do we make all this happen and raise the funds? – by throwing a party on a boat of course! In collaboration with DropOut we can have an evening watching the sun go down over the Thames (it’ll be like Café Del Mar) and then getting our rave on to some bouncy sounds from Paul Higgins, Oliver Richardson and DropOut residents StefJam. Instead of asking you for a donation to the cause, we’re asking you to pay for a ticket to a boat party – we hope to raise the funds through ticket sales.
Tickets are only available through this justgiving page and they're £15 a pop - your donation confirmation email is your ticket!
All the money raised will go directly to the Lubulini community, the team will fund their own participation/involvement in the project.
Some 75% of the population are employed in subsistence farming and the country has the lowest documented life expectancy in Africa – on average 32 years through the combined effect of lack of water, land degradation, increased poverty and HIV/AIDS. The government offer free water and fuel in city centres but without the resources to transport them, clean water is not yet a right in Swaziland.
