Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. It will be just a year since Avandah died, that the 100km trek in the Sahara desert gets underway. You will recall that we trekked both in China, and in Israel, on behalf of the Childrens Society, and it was in Israel that she 'found the desert '- which she just loved, and it seems the right thing to do, to mark this anniversary even though she wasn't big on tents! Any money which you care to donate will be split equally between The Willowbrook Hospice, where she spent the last four weeks of her life, and Ovarian Cancer Action. Both of these charities are in real need of funds, and they both may help others in the same situation as that in which we found ourselves last year. I am also physically collecting sponsorships, so the total raised will be in excess of that shown on the website. I will let everyone know how much is finally raised.
