Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 15th September 2008 my dad went into hospital for a knee replacement.. whilst in recovery he went into cardiac arrest and had to be shocked back to life a number of times.  Thanks to Dr Nolan and his team that day my dad survived and was moved to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit where he spent the following week. Whilst he was there we saw the huge amounts of equipment that are needed to keep people alive and also to allow staff to moniter patients progress.  If it wasnt for the staff and equipment there my dad would not be alive to appreciate his life as he does now.

On 12th August 2009 I will be travelling with friends to Bornem, Belgium and at 9pm on Friday 14th August we will start the Death March 2009. Basically its a 100km (62mile) walk that has to be completed over a 24hour period.  I will do my utmost to try and cross that finish line and claim my medal! If you want to track my progress you can access the dodentoch website and my registration number is 5483.

All money raised will go to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit and help support them in their fight to  keep more families together.  62 miles seems a small price to pay to spend more time with my dad  x
