Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Before you read my message I would just like to thank a very special person Emma Wager for inspiring me to do this.
Most people will know I have a little boy "Adam" with ACC and Septo Optic Dysplasia and he is globally disabled. We were told that he would probably never walk or talk. As i'm sure you can imagine we were devasted our son who at the time was 9 months old would never be able to enjoy the things we all take for granted. As a family we refused to believe that Adam would do little more than sit or lay everyday of his life.
Through local support I took Adam to group meetings and nursery to encourage him to interact and be mobile, he sat up unaided for the first time when he was 2 1/2 years old! we were so proud of him.
He is now 4 years old and through hard work encouragement and support he is now walking all be it, a little unsteady and has now increased his vocabluary to over 100 words!!! and is even stringing 2 or 3 words together at a time!!!! we are so proud of our little boy and am glad we have had the support, that help us push him everyday to strive for more and break all barriers put in front of him.
So for him and his chairty I am walking up Mount Snowdon on August 28th 2010. Anyone who knows me will no that this will not be an easy task for me!!! but i'm sure that everything Adam has achieved hasn't been easy either, so SON this is for you. PLEASE PLEASE DONATE ANY LITTLE HELPS!!
