Despite the fact that it was my idea to run this and it was my suggestion to the boss that he do the same, Jonathon Scott has thrown down the gauntlet. So here's the deal. There's a good chance he'll beat me on the run as, despite being an oldie he's got longer legs and is an ex special cadet/special school/special marine (or something like that). BUT I'm damned if he's going to beat me on the fund raising stakes! He's already tapped my contacts at the office for fundraising (cheeky!) before I had the chance. Don't let the boss beat me! Dig deep in your pockets to help the Whitechapel Mission continue their fantastic work with London's homeless and help me wipe the smug smile off Jon Scott's face even if he does cross the finish line before me. After all, it's the participation that really matters and the charitable donations for the good cause that really makes a difference. To offer added incentive for every £2 you sponsor me you get one guess at my finish time on this 10k race (thank you Woody). For example, £20 gets you 10 guesses. Each guess should include the minute and second, i.e. 42 mins 30 sec, or 60 mins 45 sec. etc. The person closest to the actual finish time wins a nifty 2 gig MP3 / MP4 player! To help you work out the odds, last time I finished this 10k race in 2007 in 48 minutes 50 seconds. Don't delay! Sponsor me today! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Whitechapel Mission will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
