Hello everyone and welcome to my fundraising page!
As I'm sure most of you know, I have a knack for choosing unbelievably crazy adventures! This year is no exception- I have chosen to climb the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro, to benefit the charity Childreach International. Not only have I vowed to climb four miles up, but I have also pledged to raise money for this amazing organization!
The money raised by myself and the other Nottingham University students will be used to help underprivileged children in Africa, so you don't have to worry about your donations not being put to good use... they will make an amazing difference in the lives of these children.
I am actually quite anxious about the climb, as I've never done anything like it before! It will definately be a challenge for me; I will have to climb for hours at a time in sub-zero weather, with the liklihood of suffering dyhydration, exhaustion, and altitude sickness. However, I am determined to make it to the top and watch the sunrise 2 miles above the clouds. So, in light of my own personal challenge, I challenge you to donate what you can. Even the smallest donation will make a huge difference for children in need!
