Story

Hi All,

Firstly many thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This coming Wednesday, against my better judgement, I am attempting my first Triathlon: Triathletes World Mid Week Triathlon! This mighty race will involve a 750m open water swim, followed by a 20km bike and 5km run.To mark this occasion I would like to generate a donation for the charity; QPR in the Community Trust.

As Chairman of the Trust I am immensely proud of our charity organisation. On a daily basis the Trust endeavours to connect with young adults across London in order to provide them with guidance and support where needed. Over the past 14 years this work has achieved fantastic results with youngsters changing their opinion on important lifestyle choices and gaining the confidence to think BIG about their aspirations as an adult. In the past few years the Trust's work has also ventured overseas. From establising soccer schools in Bahrain to providing important education about AIDS in South Africa, QPR in the Community is committed to reach all teenagers whenever and wherever possible. For more information on the Trust's work please visit its website; www.qprcommunitytrust.com

So with this in mind I would like to invite you to donate to this very good cause and make my blood, sweat and tears on Wednesday worth every penny!

Warm Regards.

Dear Generous Donators,

I write this as an elated, if a little sore, Chairman of QPR in the Community Trust; thank-you so much for all your thoughtful donations! During this past week I have been truly humbled and honoured by the staggering number of caring people who have made donations to the Trust. Together we have created a triumphant total, and with direction from the Trust's Board I am confident the donation will be put to immediate good use. I completed the triathlon course in 1hr 39minutes 32seconds which was under my target of 1hr 45minutes. For this "decent" race time your encouraging commments were wholly responsible. If you would like to see more information about the race and a short video of me looking very tired after it please visit: www.qpr.co.uk. Once again a heartfelt thank-you, you have made a significant difference to youngsters across London and further afield.

Regards, Amit Bhatia
