HI PALS!!

After you've finishing LOLing at the idea of me running a marathon and finally caught your breath back, I would like to assure you that this is NOT a joke. On the 26th April, I will be taking part in the London Marathon. I plan to complete the whole 26.3 miles, and hope to observe Paula Ratcliffe's sanitation habits along the way.

The primary focus of taking up this challenge will be on raising money for an awesome charity called The Parkinson's Disease Society. This charity is set up to carry out research into Parkinson's disease, with the ultimate aim being to develop a cure.

Parkinson's Disease affects a part of the brain that controls body movement and speech, and as it is a degenerative disease, the symptoms become more prominent over time. The result of this is a gradual deterioration in an individual's ability to control his or her speech and mobility.

The reason why the Parkinson's Disease society is so AWESOME, is because not only are they striving towards a cure, developing new medication to better improve sufferer's quality of life, and new equipment and surgeries, but they also look into the wellbeing of the families and the people surrounding the sufferers, who are often greatly affected and sometimes overlooked.

The insight and vision that forms the fundamental values of this charity, where every situation is viewed in its entirety, and every individual affected treated with understanding and empathy, is just lovely. It's so important to people with Parkinson's and the people around them to understand what is happening, to know what to expect, and therefore be able to help each other in the most effective way.

Which brings me back to my point of why I am setting up this group. I am running the marathon to fundraise for this charity, and my target is to raise a total of £1700 smackeroos, which is where you lovely, LOVELY people come in.

I need everyone to dig deep into those pockets of yours and help me towards my goal of raising £1700!!! I have approximately 10 weeks to raise the money, and I really need your help!! Every little will make a difference, and no contribution is too small, and believe me, I would appreciate it so SO SO mucH!!

Thanks for helping me, I really appreicate it :) :) :)

BIG BIG BIG BIG love,
Ammina xxxx
