*Update*

The jump was a resounding success. All three members of the Leary clan jumped without hesitation and all landed safely. There may have been some minor injuries sustained in the course of disembarking from a car, but not from an airplane at 3,500 feet!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of their support and donations. This website is still open for donations for those of you who have yet to do so.

We have a number of photographs of the event and in-plane footage will be made available in due course.

Unfortunately due to poor weather the planned jump on the weekend of 21/22 June was cancelled. A new date has been rescheduled for the weekend 11/12 October.

Suicide is still a very taboo subject in this country and it leaves families and friends bereaved by it often feeling stigmatised.

 "Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide exists to meet the needs and break the isolation of those bereaved by the suicide of family member or close friend "

So to honour this cause, and in memory of Kevin O'Keeffe, three members of Leary family, Dominic, Jonathan and Bill are going to do a charity parachute jump with a difference to help raise awareness and funds.

The aircraft that we are hurling ourselves out of is the largest single-engined Bi-plane in the World the legendary Antonov AN-2. www.an2club.info 

Not many people have the honour of flying the aircraft that they intend to jump out of but Bill "10 bars" is looking forward to it. He just doesn't know it yet.

Dominic and Jonathan are concerned that Bill will be jumping first and are hoping that he has remembered to arrange for a co-pilot ! As they will be behind him Just to make sure that he jumps.

So please give generously to this good cause, as this really is a once in a lifetime event for all involved especially Bill "10 Bars".
