I am running for the charity "No More Landmines". They are a great organization who do a lot more than simply clear mines. They allow communities to rebuild their lives, infrasturcture and sense of identity by assisting with retraining and other community based projects - check out their website for more info.
It only costs £1 to clear 1 square metre of mine affected land and as little as £30 would buy a prosthetic limb that would allow a child to walk again so each donation could make a real difference.
