Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On the evening of Saturday 20 June 2009, I’m taking part in the midnight walk for the Grace House North East Children’s Hospice appeal in Sunderland. I’ll be doing the 10km walk with my two sisters (Ann-Marie & Julie) and our friend Tracey. I’ve been assured that it’s a walk not a run and it’s all for a great cause …
The Grace House North East Children’s Hospice Appeal is raising money to build a new hospice for children and their families who live in the North East of England.
It is estimated that there are 1000 children in the North East who need this type of care and unfortunately there are only 12 hospice beds to serve the whole of the region (the lowest provision throughout the UK).
This new hospice will provide a much needed service and support for children and their families. Building will start within the next 12 months subject to planning permission, so they really need our support!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Grace House Appeal in Sunderland will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
