Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I would like to personally thank you all for taking the time to donate online for Down Syndrome Scotland. Unfortunately after suffering from gastroentertis and on the advice of the doctor I was forced to withdraw from the marathon, however at the last minute my 30 year old nephew Jamie stepped in and ran for the charity and managed to complete the run in less than 4 hrs, fantastic especially in this heat. Well done and thank you Jamie
As you are probably aware, in the past, I have taken part in a number of 10k's, a half marathon and even a moonwalk and this year I have decided to take on the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday 31st May along with my friend Margaret Earlie, who is also rasing money for the charity.
As this is my biggest challenge yet I really want to make it worth while and raise money for Down Syndrome Scotland. It is a charity that is all about supporting individuals and their families to reach their potential and acheive their goals in everyday life. My inspiration comes from my wee friend Oliver pictured on my left, who is a delight to know and brings joy to all who meet him.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Down's syndrome Scotland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
