Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running my first London Marathon in April 2010 and will be raising money for the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice, situated in Abbey Wood (South East London) near where I grew up.
Their services are available to residents of the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley who need respite, specialist symptom control, supportive care or end of life care, for those with a life limiting illness and their families/carers. They provide care to people in a variety of settings, not just in the Hospice building.
The Hospice is a registered charity and for the financial year April 2009 to March 2010 the budgeted expenditure is £5.6 million of which 60% is raised via charitable and community support, with the balance being provided by the NHS.
