Many of you will be stunned that Andrew Gossage is running 10 yards, let alone 10km. Not surprising really given that I haven't run more than a mile since 1982.
I have been in serious training since early Jan and I am most definitely the worst runner in the world. I have worked my way up to 7km (two laps of Sefton park) but it is demoralising when small children on tricycles and OAPs who have had hip replacements overtake me.
But I am determined to finish this race (and then stop running for the next 27 years), not least because Doctor Kershaws is a great cause, run by completely selfless people.
Any donation at all would be welcome. I am sure for many of you, the prospect of me limping over the line in complete agony is a spur in itself.
Thanks in advance.
