You may already know of the two challenges we are undertaking but just in case here's an overview...
DATE OF CHALLENGE:
09 AUGUST - 23 AUGUST 2009
CHALLENGE ONE; CLIMBING A MOUNTAIN
Our team of ten will be trekking up Mt.Meru, Africa's fourth highest mountain (4566m) over 4 days, no mean feat with altitude sickness and freezing nights.
CHALLENGE TWO; BUILDING A SCHOOL
In 2007 Joy Skipper (founder of Community Projects Africa) helped raise enough money to build a nursery for 50 children in the village of Choba, Pangani. The community's first!
This year's challenge is to raise enough money to build the community's first primary school. A little sweat, a
few blisters and backache are a bearable prospect when you consider the benefit to local children!
This will not
be easy work in the humidity of the Tanzanian coast so please dig deep (excuse the pun) and give generously
(no short arms and deep pockets!). Every penny will contribute to the building supplies and help build a better future for the children of Choba!
