Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I'm running in the Marathon Des Sables from 29th March - 4th April 2009. The MDS is often called the toughest footrace on earth and involves running 150 miles in a week across the Sahara desert in temperatures of up to 50 degrees. It is totally self sufficient, so as well as having to cope with the heat and the sand, competitors have to carry all their food and equipment for the duration of the race. For more details on the MDS, and to follow my progress please access: http://www.darbaroud.com/index_uk.php
I'm running on behalf of Farm-Africa, a charity which helps farmers and communities with sustainable farming solutions rather than quick fix solutions. Farm-Africa relies upon voluntary donations and all funds I raise go directly to the charity. http://www.farmafrica.org.uk/
