Our personal message:

Thank you to everyone who has donated online and visited my fundraising page.

Thankyou to the people who have donated offline as well:

Les Cooper £10, Jen Cooper £10, Steve Newnham £5, Jeanette Muschens £10, Mark Asaad £5.

*UPDATE* Finished the run in 1:10:22, well chuffed with the time as a first run, wasnt too tired after and even managed a sprint to the finish line, it was a great day, complete with the odd rain shower to cool down.

*UPDATE* Am now up to 3 1/2 miles a night training so if i'm late for work its because I am shattered afterwards. THE RUN IS THIS SUNDAY THE 6TH JULY. I will be going against my strict religious belief not to get up before 8am on a sunday too so there is a big sacrifice from me!

I am trying to raising money for my local RSPCA district clinic in Hillingdon www.rspcahillingdonclinic.org.uk which provides an invaluable service to the surrounding area. Unfortunately it faces a very real risk of closure if it cannot raise the neccesary funds.

The Hillingdon, Slough, Windsor, Kingston & District is recognised as one of the busiest branches in the country, last year they helped over 10,000 animals in need by:

*Providing veterinary care to pets whose owners otherwise couldn’t afford treatment for their sick or injured pets

*Finding homes for over 1,000 unwanted, neglected and abused animals

*Promoting responsible pet ownership, through public awareness schemes, including; the provision of neutering, microchipping, and primary animal health care such as worming, flea treatment and vaccinations

The RSPCA provide a service which is largely taken for granted, most would assume there would be a local office if you need it and don't realise they recieve no government funding and the huge amount of work and expense that is involved,  it could be your pet who needs the help of these guys and girls at the RSPCA in some form, may be you who needs advice or assistance from them or you that has to call them to report neglect or animal suffering.

so please help me to raise money for them by putting just a little of your hard earned money  to a good cause and sponsoring me to do this run. Those of you who know me will know I am not the fittest (big understatement) or fastest of runners so this is not a small event for me, it will involve a lot of training from me and is a real challenge (p.s. i'm leaving the car at home too so i'm not cheating).

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RSPCA - Hillingdon, Slough, Windsor, Kingston & District will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
