Story

UPDATE - I FINISHED!!!! Was a very painful 6h22mins due to a very painful knee after 7miles, but there was no way I was going to give up!!!

Fantastic day. Well done to everyone else who ran. Was rather hot!!

I'm still fundraising for the NSE, so please do sponsor me. They're a great charity who do some much needed work for Epilepsy sufferers and their family.

Thanks again!!!

My original message...

Hi everyone,

I've entered the 2009 London Marathon and am running for the National Society for Epilepsy, which is based in south Bucks. I first learnt about the NSE when I was in year 11 (age 16) at school when I did a physics project on their research equipment. Having a tour of the centre made me realise what a caring and important job they're doing. They help both the sufferer and their families. I hope you agree that they're a very worthy cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Society for Epilepsy gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Kate and I have been out running in the snow, rain and sleet to be ready for this, but we're both really looking forward to the Marathon and raising a couple of grand each in the process.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks - both the NSE and I really appreciate it.
