I am participating in the 23rd Marathon Des Sables in the Sahara desert to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I am going to run and walk my way around a 151 mile (243 km) course over 7 days. Macmillan cancer support deserves fundraising help because I lost both my mother and father to cancer. The help Macmillan give is un-measureable.

I have trained for 22 months consistently. I will carry everything apart from all the water and a tent. Water is distributed approximately every 6 miles or 10kms. I am allowed a ration of approx 9 litres a day with which I need to hydrate, cook and wash.
