For some reason, Andy, Rose and Mark have fallen for Nike’s the clever advertising and signed up to take part in the Human Race. Apparently one million runners across the world will be taking part in this ridiculous event meaning that, touch wood, we won’t finish last, even if it is due to a clever/dubious interpretation of the time zones. The race we’re taking part in is around the picturesque streets of the London Borough of Brent – hopefully taking in world famous sites such as ’s first Ikea store and the North Circular. In fairness, the race ends with a crawl up Wembley Way to finish at the stadium but to give you some perspective on the challenge that faces us, the three of us walked up there a couple of weeks ago from the tube and had to stop for breath twice and once for a hot dog. Mark – you know who I’m talking about… Anyway – we’re trying to raise some money for ChildLine – Rose has now qualified as a ChildLine counsellor and so knows first hand how important the work is that they do. There is absolutely no pressure to give anything – we know how many of these requests come round – but anything you can offer is really appreciated. Thanks and wish us luck!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ChildLine gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
