I am taking part in the Polar Challenge in April/May 2009 - a competitive, 350-mile team race in the Arctic, to the magnetic North Pole and beyond.

The Polar Challenge is known to be the most challenging and gruelling race on Earth. The Arctic is one of the world's most extreme environments with temperatures as low as -50C, and where 80% of the world's Polar Bears live! Competitors race on skis, pulling their supplies in 120lb pulks and setting up their tents on the ice each night.
