About 6 years ago I was at my heaviest and I felt pretty rubbish, however... I was lucky, being unhealthy because of bad choices means you can change your health, which is what I did, I decided to eat better and found a love for exercise, once the weight started flying off I set new challenges and found a love of running, and I have never looked back.  In this day and age bad health is something most of us can choose to change, however for those who cant thats not fair, I have seen family members die or battle cancer, fight heart disease and strokes etc... this isnt unique to me, we all have family members going through these things, and although in my personal opionion we all have a bigger role in our health destiny than the drug companies like us to think, weather i like it or not our poor health is big business, this big business also funds nasty cruel experiements on animals, which i find deplorable.  Therefore I want to do my bit to help a trust that seeks answers and cures and WILL NOT test on animals.

I have raised quite a lot of money for charity in the last 3 years since i started running, the training for this event has been awful at best and non existant at worse, fund raising is hard and motivation to run for 4 plus hours is low. So i am making this my last fund raising big challenge for at least a while ha ha... never say never, although the prospect of running 54k is a bit scary i will do it by stubborness alone and will finish with possibly really sore legs but with a big grin on my face :D
