Hi, I'm shall be walking the Great Wall of China in aid of St David's Hospice, Llandudno, a local charity for local people.
St David’s Hospice has now been open 10 years and in those ten years has had to rely on fund-raising and bequests as the hospice receives very little funding from the government and for every £1.00 received, 84p is used to continue the excellent service given to local people.
As I was unemployed for over 12 months, I was becoming very downhearted, until one day, whilst reading the local paper, an article caught my eye.It was all about taking part in an overseas challenge in order to raise funds for St David's and it was like a lightbulb, I though I could do that! And the rest is history!
So whilst helping me, I shall be helping others!
