My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and I do appreciate that times are hard for a number of people, but rest assured, you are not funding me to go on this trek, I have actually paid for my own registration which was initally £349 included my flight, accommodation (mainly under canvas) and food.

I am now having to pay an additional £50 towards changing my dates and the fundraising for next year is to go up to £3,000, so as you can see, for me there is now more of a challenge and again I have to stress when you donate on line, the proceeds go directly to the charity Vitalise and not to me.

Again to all those who have sponsored me, thank you so much.  I am not asking you to sponsor me again, but just updating you with my position.

Sadly the credit crunch has put paid to my doing the trek this September and has now been put back to April 2010.  I know that things are tough, but if you think  £2 is a very small price to pay especially when you could go without that coffee from Starbucks for one day or walk to the next station.  Its all in a good cause for the needs of the disabled visually sighted and their carers.

As most of you know I dog walk for the man up stairs and he is now donating my dog walking money to my charity, thanks John.  Every little helps as they say.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Vitalise gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my page.
