Thank you for visiting my fund raising page.
I am raising money for the Lavender Trust in memory of my wife Annette Boyd. The Lavender Trust is part of Breast Cancer Care and raises money to fund information and support for younger women with breast cancer. Please visit www.breastcancercare.org.uk/about-us/lavender-trust for more information.
Annette died in 2000 at the age of only 33 and was first diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 19. She later became a volunteer for Breast Cancer Care and often spoke to other young women who’d been diagnosed with cancer. This was an incredibly hard thing for her to do as every time she spoke to someone it brought back painful memories of her own diagnosis but I know how much it meant to the young people who rang her to speak to someone who’d been in the same position. Annette was an amazing person and although she is no longer with us I would like to carry on the good work she started and raise as much money as I can for the Lavender Trust and Breast Cancer Care. One day a cure for cancer will be found but until that date charities like Breast Cancer Care need as much help as possible to continue with their good work.
My plan is to arrange some unusual/adventurous events, trips and activities and to raise money from sponsorships and donations. The aim is to raise money and have some fun at the same time.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has donated via this page. It doesn’t matter whether you are taking part in an activity or supporting someone else - every pound you raise will go to a very good cause. Your support means a great deal to me and to the rest of Annette’s family and is very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
