My story
the totals on here also list the offline amounts raised see the list below the story on here ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, we are going to be doing a lot of fundraising in memory of madison, our chosen charity will be the donna louise childrens trust (treetops). before madison passed away she used to love going there 4 stays with her family, everyone was made to feel comfortable and everything was taken care of (cooking, cleaning, laundry, activities, baths, support, councelling, days out) enabling us to have quality family time together, if it wasnt for the care we recieved then madisons illness would have been unbearable, 3 weeks before madison passed away, we all went to stay at treeetops, the help and support recieved was beyond excellent, the staff were very caring, supportive and loving, they enabled us spend the most time before madisons passing to be close to her at all times with no other normal worries or cares at the time of madisons passing and when madison passed away, the staff helped us understand what was happening and then we took madisons body to a special room where we could spend as much/little time as possible with her before the funeral.. this gave us the opportunity to be with her until the day b4 her funeral.. we are so truly gratefull for everything treetops has helped us with and get threw making it more bearable, we really hope what we raise will help keep families together threw the hard times that we have experienced ourselves xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx in lieu of flowers collection from st marys rd, £300, in leiu of flowers at mdisons funeral £383, in leiu of madisons flowers family donations £140. sentinel readers sponsored walk, £600, corner pin collection £20, sponsored walk via michelle £2500, sponsored detox via allison £276 , non uniform day at gladstone primary £400, donatins in leiu of flowers sent to funeral director £170, 10 mile sponsored walk via alisha £343.88, mill hill primary school non uni day £165. donna louise 5k fun run, (friends) £500, family £230, smarties challenge £300, conkor match £355. £330 via carol hasdell, £50 plant sale via carols mum and dad, £500 the old sal fundraiser week, donald and daisy weekend £151.63, thorough googs collection bucket £196.81. pringles challenge £40.17. mikes shop collection tin £26.00 , janice and tags wedding reception,, played irish bing ,, £117.50
it was so nice to be out of an hospital enviroment
some people might think this is wierd/strange but until you have had this support you will never know how much it has helped..
it is now our choice to give back something to them and as the donna louise is all fundraised and donation based,

The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust

<b>The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust</b> provides respite for children with life threatening conditions and support for the whole family at the hospice and in their own home. Our hospice called Treetops, is based in Trentham, on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent. Here we provide respite and end of life care for children from all over Staffordshire and South Cheshire that are between the ages of 0 and 19 years and have a life-threatening illness. We provide a safe, caring environment where children and families can truly feel at home. <p> A community nursing team provide respite and end of life care to children and families within their own homes. <p> Currently the Trust cares for 160 children from South Cheshire and Staffordshire. Its annual running costs of £2 million are obtained mainly from public donations. </p>
