My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Science Teachers are defintely not boring!! I'm one of just four teachers going to Antarctica in an Educational/Scientific Expedition carrying out research to challenage and inspire not only myself, but also the students. I'm a Physics teacher and my project is on Ultraviolet Radiation and Antarctic Life. Also, I have a second project to engage students called "How tough is your sunscreen" where I will be testing sunscreen in the harshest environment on earth !!

I will be organising several fundraising events, so please stay 'on-line' at http://antarcticadventure.wordpress.com to participate. Please, if you can, contribute through Justgiving and even if you have add a bit more! I am aiming to raise £1000 through this page, that's just a 15th of what I need to get overall, every bit helps!

The Foundation sends young science and geography teachers to the Polar Regions to carry out science projects in the world's harshest conditions for their own personal development so that they inspire their students and others in education, producing national curriculum teaching resources which are available free on the Foundation's website.
