My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for my Antarctic Odyssey.

In March I went to Antarctica as a way of proving that having kidney failure is not the end of the world. I got my life back thanks to my wonderful brother Jonas who donated his kidney to me. Not everybody is as lucky as me - in the UK alone, 400 people a year die waiting for an organ transplant. So I'm raising money to help Transplants in Mind do something about this unnecessary waste.

We are taking part in UK Transplant week in July and are taking part in a number of sponsored events. See our website for more details.

Your donation to Transplants in Mind could help give someone else a new lease of life. Choose what level of sponsorship and benefit you like and we will add you to the roll of honour on our website:
  • £20 Friend
We will send you a postcard made from a picture we took in Antarctica.
  • £50 Associate
Positioning on our website as Associate of the Transplant in Mind on Ice expedition.
  • £100 Advocate
Positioning on our website as Advocate of the Transplant in Mind on Ice expedition. Photo taken of your logo or personal photo in Antarctica and signed and sent back to you.
  • £250 Ambassador
Positioning on our website as Ambassador of the Transplant in Mind on Ice expedition. Video Postcard from our trip, plus mention in all printed media.
  • £500 Partner
Positioning on our website as Parnter of the Transplant in Mind on Ice expedition.
  • £2000 Patron
Our patron will receive prominence on our website, all publicity literature, and all interviews for Transplants in Mind Week in June. We will also present to your team or family on our return from the expedition, and on the outcome of of our fundraising activities.
We are aiming to raise £5,000 for Transplants in Mind. Follow news on our website to see what the money you help raise is going to be used for.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Transplants in Mind will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
