In the summer of 2009, Jamie Morgan (A childhood friend) was in need of urgent treatment for Cancer.  Jamies family launched an audacious attempt to raise £100,000 to pay for the pioneering treatment only available in the US.

 

Such was the love and admiration from all that knew Jamie, the money was raised thanks to support from local media.

Sadly whilst in America receiving the treatment and responding well, Jamie contracted Pneumonia and passed away.

 

Never before have I felt so lost and so lonely as the day I had that news.

 

Jamies designated charity was Cancer research UK who are hoping to bring the treatment to the UK so that we could all benefit.

I ran this race last year for the help Jamie appeal, this year in memory of a friend and inspiration.
