I've only recently plucked up the courage to commit to a marathon, and decided that as it may well be the only one I ever run I should make an attempt to raise some money in the process (You can donate offline too, see below). I will be running the Berlin Marathon on the 26th of September 2010.I've already booked the accommodation and travel, and now just have to complete the training!
I've decided to raise money for St Giles Hospice, an independent local registered charity. As a pharmacist I used to work within a hospice and was always impressed by the importance of the work they do. St Giles also help the terminally ill maintain themselves in their own homes. They are mainly funded through donations, and any money you donate will help continue this essential service.
