In running the Reading Half Marathon, I've decided to raise as much as I can for RefugeeYouth, an organization that exists to combat alienation and despair amongst young refugees. It is a little charity hidden behind a pub and a church in Vauxhall, South London.  But inside really exciting stuff happens.  Young people from around the world - many who are here without family - find a place of love, creativity, learning and belonging.

 A little money can go a long way:  £6 will cover someone's travel to the project where they will find fun and friendship; £10 will fill the fruitbowl for a day so people can grab a healthy snack; £20 will do dinner for 15 people; £50 would be a mini-bursary to support a young person to research issues affecting them and then to advocate to policy makers and professionals.
