The Catholic Church’s outreach to seafarers deploys port chaplains and ship visitors to welcome them as brothers and sisters and provide for their pastoral and practical needs - regardless of creed or nationality. It also provides chaplains on cruise ships and works collaboratively with others to provide ecumenical seafarers’ centres.
