One of the areas that we are passionate about raising funds for and an area of increasing need and demand for services is our domestic abuse work with children.
When children arrive with their mum’s to the safe space of our women’s refuge they have often left home in a hurry. They arrive only in the clothes they are wearing – without a chance to say goodbye, they’ve left everything behind including their friends, schools, pets and toys.
Children that have experienced domestic abuse need their own support. We have a dedicated team to support children and we strive to let the general public know about these forgotten victims of domestic abuse.
Domestic abuse can have devastating consequences for children. Together we can support them to feel positive about a safe future.
