The Arctic Foxes are Felicity, Jenny, Jo and Rachel - four young women who plan to become the first female British team to cross the formidable Greenland ice cap.
The expedition, which runs from 27th April - 5th June 2006, will see the foxes brave Arctic winds, hidden crevasses, temperature as low as -30C and the ever-present danger of inquisitive polar bears as they ski and kite across this unforgiving terrain, dragging their sledges behind them.
We (the foxes) hope to inspire young people to explore the world around them, and also to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer - a fantastic charity that is committeed to creating a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
Anything you can give is greatly appreciated. Donating through this site is simple and totally secure and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
A big foxy thank you for your support, and please keep an eye on our progress by logging on to our website: www.arcticfoxes.co.uk. Your messages of support will be relayed to us on the ice by Rob, our project manager, so keep them coming!
Foxy love,
Felicity, Jenny, Jo and Rachel
