Hello everyone, Weirdly I've decided to get fit this year and have entered myself into 2 triathlons. Some of you may be aware that I entered one last year but convinced myself that I was too busy to fit it in. In truth I haven't been very good at fitness stuff since I was unexpectedly named sportsman of the year at my prep school. As it turned out this proved to be a false dawn in my young sporting career as on arriving at my new school Uppingham I found myself in the 5th XI for hockey. It was here that I met a couple of actor types and it's been downhill ever since. Until now. So first off is a mini triathlon in Hyde Park on 27th April (www.spwtriathlon.com). This is a 400m swim in The Serpentine, a 15km cycle and a 5km run. The second one is the official London Triathlon on 9th August (www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk). This one is called a sprint and is 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run. For the first one I have to raise a minimum of £250 for SPW (explained to the left) so that is my initial target. For the London one you don't actually have to raise any money but I thought I may as well combine the two and raise as much as I can, so my target may change to a grand. Plus, sponsorship from you lovely people will force me to do them as I believe some third party motivation here is crucial.
