Between May 22nd - 26th 2008 I will be climbing Mount Etna.
I have never done anything like this before, anyone who knows me will tell you what a challenge I face!
This is a charity event and in commiting myself to doing this I have agreed to raise a minimum amount of £1,475 for the mental health charity Mind. My sponsership will help to support Mind in the unique range of services they offer to people with experience of mental distress have a better quality of life.
To prepare for this challenge, I am putting all my spare time over the next six months into preparing for this event. As well as undertaking physical training, I will be fundraising for Mind.
Mental health problems are common and can happen to anyone - 1 in 4 of the population will suffer with mental distress at some point in their lives.
