In September I will be taking part in a horse riding challenge to raise money for the care of abandoned and neglected horses in Britain.
As part of that challenge, I will be holding a fund-raising event on Saturday, May 9 in aid of the British Horse Society.
The challenge I will be undertaking is a 10-day trek across Rajasthan on horseback, riding 40km per day through rural Rajasthan, across semi-deserts, visiting local farms and villages on a traditional battle horse, and camping overnight. By taking part in this riding challenge I hope to raise over £2,600 for the British Horse Society.
It needs as much support as possible to fund the rescue of abandoned and neglected horses and to educate people in the correct ways in which to care for them.
All funds raised by my challenge will be used to assist the running costs of the British Horse Society’s nationwide welfare scheme, to enable the society to continue to provide an effective welfare system ensuring a rapid response to reports of equines in distress.
