About the charity : The Cutty Sark Trust The Cutty Sark Trust
The Cutty Sark Trust is an independent charity which owns and runs the sole surviving tea clipper, Cutty Sark. The ship is the iconic Gateway to the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. For over 50 years she has been the flagship of the area which now attracts over six million visitors a year. The Trust’s mission is to ensure that Cutty Sark is preserved for this and future generations as a rich cultural resource for all. The ship was undergoing a major conservation project when fire swept through her in May 2007. For more information please visit www.cuttysark.org.uk

Personal message:

My name is Keith White, and in June 2005, I sailed around the British Isles, anti clockwise and single handed. Whilst other people may have sailed single handed, however, I did it literally SINGLE HANDED.
In 1991, I was involved in a serious road traffic accident, in which my left arm had been severely damaged.
After many operations and many months of intense physiotherapy, the damage had been too extensive, and I was left disabled, without the use of my left arm.

16 years later, I am still in constant pain, but refuse to let this change my lifestyle.
I continue to enjoy many hobbies, one of which is sailing, and it is this love for the sea that spurs me on to new challenges.

In 2005, I successfully sailed anti-clockwise around the British Isles and Ireland (which wasn't without its own challenges!) If you are unaware of my previous challenge, and arrived at this page through a search engine result, you can find out more by going to www.singlehandedyachting.co.uk

I am now sailing single handed again, and my new challenge is to cross the Atlantic Ocean, following the tea route of the Clipper ships, so it seems fitting that The Cutty Sark Trust should be one of my chosen charities for fundraising.
After the terrible fire that swept through the Clipper Ship whilst under going restoration, the trust needs all the help they can get in order to continue that work, and bring this glorious Ship back to her former glory.

I would like to thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep, as every penny helps, and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Cutty Sark Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
