About Us: Crash Hamster, aka Drew. ATOM, aka Dave. Two Pirates who've dabbled in the dark art of Ironman, run a few marathons, and have decided to broaden their athletic inabilities by undertaking a joint venture.

The Challenge: Run 180 miles, with 18672 metres of vertical climb, in 8 days.... or put another way......

180 miles: equivalent to running from London to Manchester.

18672 metres: equivalent to climbing Mt Everest twice, or Ben Nevis 13 3/4 times.

8 days: similar to a week but a day longer.

So, the Hamster and I set about finding a means to accomplish this challenge, and we were surprised to find an event that matched our parameters: Gore-Tex Transalpine Run
