On Thursday 17th December, Leap Anywhere HQ were luck enough to host Michael McGrath.
Michael, who lives with Muscular Dystrophy, describes himself as a ‘catalyst for change’ and a ‘champion of difference’ and will be relaying his remarkable story of how he used motivational methods to become the first disabled person to circumnavigate both the North and South Poles. This, by any standards is an extraordinary example of determination, courage and singular achievement. His inspirational success teaches us to use our minds as a motivational muscle to overcome challenges we may face in our personal and professional lives.
As well as being a dedicated father and husband, Michael is a sought after inspirational business speaker, manages his own consultancy practice and still finds time to raise vital funds and awareness to support The Muscular Help Foundation, a UK registered charity that helps children and young people in the UK with muscular dystrophy live a dream or fulfil a cherished ambition.
With Michael’s qualities of determination, courage, resilience and optimism coupled with an appealing sense of humour, it’s no wonder Richard Branson of The Virgin Group deems him ‘an inspiration’.
