Why your donation matters

In Moldova Hippocrates see 500 children a year. Each week they carry out 10 speech therapy sessions, 10 occupational sessions and 50 phyiscal therapy sessions.

Each one cost just £8 - how many children can you help in one week?

But, all this is carried out in a small two room apartment. Which is why we are building a new multi-disciplinary centre in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. But, we need your help to finsih building phase 1. Total cost is only £125,000 - and we need at least half of that still.

Case study: donations in action

Ratkha is a Roma (gypsy) girl. Her first three years were spent begging on the streets with a woman who may or may not have been her mother. This woman froze to death in the cold winter and Ratkha was severely injured from exposure.

After recovering she then spent the next thirteen years in state institutional care.

She has just entered our phenomenally successful 2 year programme of independent living skills training. In Ukraine just 10% of orphans enter mainstream society successfully - 100% of orphans on our programme do!

She now longs to be a resident in our newly built family foster home.

You can help in her transformation.
