Aziz Welfare Trust is an independent charity that was founded by one of the UK’s leading Muslim businessmen and patrons of humanitarian causes, Mr Abdul Aziz. The Trust is committed to the development of relief, healthcare, education and specialist projects to make an immediate and lasting improvement to the lives of people affected by poverty and disaster in one of the poorest regions in the world, Azad Kashmir.
Medical treatment is a serious need for the very poor in Pakistan. There are many who suffer/die due to the non affordability of medical treatment that we can take for granted in the West.
Our current and pioneering project is the Aziz Welfare Trust Hospital in Khuiratta, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Before his sad demise in June 2009, Mr Aziz invested most of his estate and earnings, some £2.4 million into building this hospital. The trust needs a further £3 million of funding to complete the next stage and will require a further £10 million in total to complete the hospital project.
Until last year the Trust had never requested assistance in this amazing endeavour, but we now need your help. The Trust would appreciate any Donations, Zakat or Sadkah, however small, to help towards completing this hospital. By doing so many precious lives can be saved.
