My story

On the 31st of July 2006 my godson Oscar was born. Within minutes his parents discovered he would need immediate open heart surgery to correct a condition known as Transposition of the Great Arteries.

The hospital responsible for this task was over 80km away and naturally his parents wanted to be with him every possible minute, this is where Heartlink came in.

They provided accomodation, food, the funding of the medical equipment to monitor baby Oscar post surgery and most importantly people to talk to.

Shortly afterwards Oscars parents Jeni and Christian promised to raise £1000 a year for Heartlink so they might help others in similar situations. I want to help them reach or even break this target for 2008 by running the Maastricht 15km race on the 15th June. Please sponsor me!!!!!!!!
