My story

Dear all,

You might know me as Pete, Dude, Polish Pete, or Jack, Ozzy, or Pete Dude. You probably remember me from Cambridge Mill Pond, The Flying Pig, 209radio, ARU, or from just being out and about in our great town.

The first bit of me that you would have seen, would be my hair, my fro. Yes it is a well grown bush, and it took many months to cultivate. Cutting it or shaving it might result in some eviction notices being served upon its inhabitants. You never know what might be inside. More to the point it will leave my head shiny, cold and open to all 4 elements of nature.

As you might have guessed I am having it all shaved off and then smoothed over, so yes, I will be ready for my Kojak look this summer. This is something I am very hesitant about, because my hair means a lot to me. I have never had short hair before, I was born with this fro.

I am raising money for my favourite charity, which is 209radio on 105 FM, Community Radio for Cambridge. The station faces closure in the very near future, due to lack of funds. If you can help me to reach my target of £500 then we can make a real difference. So please dig deep if you can and sponsor me or my baldness for 209radio.

The actual shearing session will take place at the Grafton Centre, under the escalators by Costa Coffe in the main concourse at 11am on Saturday 30th May.

This is made possible with the help of Piero's Hairdressing on 72 Mill Road, Cambridge, the finest hairdressers in town.
