Between 26th & 30th August 2010, Paul Duffy, Ollie Bailey, Dan Charnley & Andy Gibson will be travelling from Normandy, France to Cabo de Roca, Portugal.  We won't be travelling in style though, we will be travelling in a banger worth £250 (car TBC) and staying in a tent. 

We need at least £1000.00 to do this, but we're aiming higher!  We're aiming to raise £3000.00.

The money goes to Gemin-i.  Gemin-i are an educational charity helping children around the world share ideas and work together for a brighter future.

With the money raised by Sucata Run in 2010 they are planning to run a project to raise awareness of Malaria. Students from over 100 schools around the globe will be able to explore the topic using the case study of Sierra Leone, where it is the biggest killer of children under five. They will explore the reasons why so many people still die from malaria and what is being done by humanitarian aid agencies to prevent this.

Through participation in this project, young people will be able to join the global effort against malaria. They will hear stories of how governments and aid organisations are fighting the disease, they will talk to other children in affected regions, and they will be given the opportunity to design their own awareness raising campaign on the theme of malaria prevention.

Each £1000 raised by teams taking part in this event will pay for five schools to take part in the project. The more schools that we can involve, the bigger an impact we can have around the world.
