From 28th-30th August a team of 6 of us from Barclays Capital will be testing our physical and mental endurance to the limit in the Enduro Challenge, a London to Paris triathlon in aid of Children in Crisis.
We will be competing against teams from five other companies in a bid to be the fastest to complete a punishing 85 mile run from London to Dover, 25 mile swim from Dover to Calais and 180 mile cycle from Calais to Paris. All team members will take it in turns to run, swim and cycle. The most challenging discipline will be the swim - the team will be embracing water temperatures as cold as 15 degrees!

Children in Crisis was established by Sarah, Duchess of York in 1993 to help transform the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children. World wide one in six children does not go to school; at the heart of our work is the belief that education is the single most effective way to reduce poverty. We partner with local organisations and communities to develop sustainable education programmes. Our work includes training teachers, building and equipping schools and delivering basic health education including HIV prevention. Our main focus is on countries which have been devastated by war.
