About the charity
Supporting Research and studies into Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer by maintaining the Barrett's oesophagus registry, funding research and providing patients support.
The recent merger between the McCord Oesophageal Cancer Fund and the Barrett's Oesophagus Foundation reinforces the aims and focus of the Foundation. Early diagnosis and public awareness of Barrett's and oesophageal cancer will help stem the steady increase of deaths in the UK, which has now reached in excess of 7,000 people each year, predominantly men, which is considerably more than road deaths.
