Well today is the day and I am bricking it, got up nice and early just a bit restless wish me luck folks I am gonna need it will put some after photos on later.
Another great fund raise on Sunday many thanks to those who attended the firework/bonfire at Bramcote Waters Golf Club £85 in sponsorship raised on the night and a great firework display.
Had an excellant day Saturday on Nuneaton Market and would like to thank Rosie on the Help for Heroes stall for having me managed to raise another £81.50 from sponsorship thank you Nuneaton.
Just a quick update having only 2 days to go am getting very nervous but I would like to thank everyone for the contributions so far, although there is still a long way to go. If you are in Nuneaton town centre on Saturday why not pay me a visit I will be on the Help for Heroes Charity Stall from about 10am onwards looking for sponsorship and rattling my tin for donations. The lady who runs the stall will be selling all sorts of merchandise from wrist bands to Xmas decorations so come fully loaded. The article will also be in the free papers this week and I have been interviewed by Mercia Sounds this will also be broadcast this week.
Having followed the local news and reports from Afghanistan and seeing how our soldiers are being injured I thought it was only right to put myself through a little pain to try and help raise awareness and funds to support Help for Heroes who I feel are doing a fantastic job. I know that times are hard but not as hard as they are for our servicemen and women so please dig as deep as you possibly can as every little helps.
I will be having a tattoo of the Help for Heroes medal on my arm this is being done by Shaun Weir of Forbidden Art I will be taking the plung on the 5th November at around 11am watch this space for the photos as I am petrified of needles and have no doubt that my family will take great pleasure in taking loads of photos of me suffering
