In 2006 I led a team of 26 bikers from Lands End to John O'Groats and back, in the process we broke the record for the "double" and also raised over £10,500 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.  This year I am joining the Barry Sheene Motorcycle Challenge from 16th to 26th May 2008.  The event raises much needed funds to fight cancer in children and is organised by Classic Tours on behalf of CLIC.

The run leaves Brands Hatch on the 16th and travels through France visiting several motor racing circuits that Barry rode on during his career.  We get to Le Mans for the MotoGP on the 18th and then continue down through France, around the Pyrenees then into Spain before returning on the ferry to Portsmouth.  As I live near Penzance I will doing a total of around 2500 miles on the trip.

CLIC have set a minimum target of £2500 to be raised by each rider and I hope to be able to raise a lot more.
